There are numerous new features in iOS 14. But some of them are not visible at first glance. This is also the case in the area of data protection.
Apple has clearly addressed data protection and privacy issues in iOS 14 expandedOne notable change is the access permission to images. Until now, it was possible to grant or deny individual applications access to the entire photo album. With messenger apps, this is a step that every user has to take if they want to exchange pictures or videos with friends. If you give an application access to the images, the application can access the entire photo app. From now on, however, the whole thing should be more data protection compliant. This means that users can give apps access to all or selected images under iOS 14. And this is what it looks like:

As soon as you have downloaded and installed iOS 14, the system will ask you for permissions when you open an app that supports access to images. At this point you can choose between (selected images / all images / none). You can of course make changes in the iOS settings at any time. In the privacy section you will find the "Photos" section. All apps that request access to images are listed there. Images and videos can be very personal in some cases. This makes Apple's latest feature all the more welcome.
