Apple released iOS 13.4, macOS 10.15.4 and more to all users at the beginning of last week. Now there are increasing reports that FaceTime is having a connection problem.

But apparently not all users can use FaceTime, as iOS 13.4 and macOS 10.15.4 no longer want to communicate with older devices. Users are reporting on Twitter and on Apple's support pagethat a connection via FaceTime with older devices is no longer possible. Specifically, this concerns iPhone and iPad models with iOS 9.3.5 or iOS 9.3.6 - i.e. the second and third generation iPad, the iPad mini 1 and the iPhone 4S.
The VPN feature also has a bug
Those affected report that a FaceTime connection to the devices mentioned can no longer be established under iOS 13.4 and macOS 10.15.4. It can be assumed that this is a bug, since communication works without restrictions under iOS 13.3.1 and macOS 10.15.3. Apple itself has not yet confirmed the error.
