Apple today released a new beta version of the audioOS 15 software for the HomePod, not only fixing serious issues but also adding support for lossless audio.

In June, Apple added support for Lossless Audio and Spatial Audio in Apple Music. However, at launch, Lossless Audio was not available on the HomePod or HomePod mini. However, the company clarified in a support document that Lossless Audio will be available for the HomePod and HomePod mini in the future. Based on the latest audioOS 15 beta, the feature appears to be available for all HomePod models starting this fall. According to 9to5Mac Those running the HomePod 15 beta software can enable Lossless Audio by opening the Home app, tapping the Home icon in the upper-left corner, selecting Home Settings, then tapping the user profile.
