The Apple Watch Series 7 will be unveiled soon. While we wait for Apple's official announcement, owners of the current generation of watches who use Apple's Solo Loop are reporting issues with the strap.

Some users have responded to a request from a Redditors asked for feedback on Apple's Solo Loop, a new wristband that was introduced in 2020. The wristband is made of a special, stretchy silicone material, but it does not have a classic closure mechanism. But the actually promising concept now seems to be causing trouble. While some note that the wristband does not "stretch" over time, other users report cracks and more. Interestingly, there are also reports that cannot confirm any of these problems. So writes Reddit user GPT96:

Apple Watch Solo Loop frustrates users

I loved the Solo Loop because it was truly the most comfortable Apple Watch band and I wore it daily. Unfortunately, a micro-tear developed and it broke after about 10 months. I would replace it but they are too expensive and the standard sport band, while not as comfortable, does the job.

At this point I would like to note that similar reports have already been documented in recent weeks and months – but not to this extent.

Now it seems as if the number of complaints is increasing. But what do you do if the Solo Loop breaks? Some users have reported that they have contacted Apple Support. In most cases, this has replaced the defective wristbands. It is therefore worth it for those affected to contact Apple. It remains to be seen whether the company will comment directly on this at some point. If reports of these problems continue to increase, Apple could of course respond publicly.
