The display, the new health function and more are highlighted. Thanks to advanced algorithms that analyze the color of the wearer's blood to determine the oxygen level, users can use the Apple Watch Series 6 to measure the oxygen level in the blood directly from their wrist. The measurement can be carried out manually within 15 seconds - during sleep phases it is done automatically. According to Apple, the sixth generation of the smartwatch has the new S6 chip with a dual-core processor based on the A13 chip.
"The change is obvious"

Blood Oxygen – Is the Solo Loop Bracelet the Solution?
Regarding the blood oxygen sensor, Engadget writes that the companion app can be quite tricky to get a correct reading. According to the review, it took about seven attempts to position the watch correctly before the blood oxygen app was able to produce a successful result. speculatedwhether Apple's new Solo Loop bracelet could be the solution.
Like the ECG reading, the blood oxygen reading requires just a few taps on the watch's screen, but you must wear the watch in a specific way to get a successful reading. It took about seven tries of tinkering with the position before I got it to measure. The data came most often when the watch was as high up on my arm as my small/medium sport band would allow if it were attached on the third notch. Apple provides guidelines in the Blood Oxygen app that explain proper placement, and Apple advises, among other things, not positioning the watch too low on the wrist.
The new Solo Loop band could be Apple's way of solving this potential problem. This new band is made from a single piece of swim-proof liquid silicone that goes around your wrist. It comes in nine (yes, nine) sizes, and you can download a printable tool from Apple's website that can help you determine which band is right for you. My Solo Loop came in a size 3, and while it takes a bit of fiddling to get it on and off, it's more comfortable than I thought it would be. Most importantly, it allows the watch to sit flush against my skin so it can take accurate blood oxygen readings.
"Real but subtle changes"
The Verge editor Dieter Bohn concluded that the Apple Watch Series 6 is an "iterative" update of the Series 5. It has "real" but "subtle" changes. One subtle change is the faster S6 processor, which will likely be more useful with future software features. Bohn writes:
As for speed, it's fast. But the Series 5 felt very fast, too. I think the main benefit most people will get from the S6 system is that it has enough processing headroom to remain fast with future updates. Apple's silicon is so ridiculously far ahead of Qualcomm's smartwatches that Apple could have kept the Series 5's internals and I doubt anyone would have minded.
But Bohn also discovered that there are problems with measuring blood oxygen. He explains in his report:
The main feature of the Series 6 is the blood oxygen monitor, and all I can tell you about it right now is that I pressed the button, rested my wrist dutifully on a table for 15 seconds, and got readings between 94 and 97 percent. I also got a handful of failed measurements, which is something we also experienced when testing the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3's blood oxygen monitor.
