Apple is reportedly conducting a survey of Apple Watch users in Brazil, asking questions about eating habits, medications and blood sugar monitoring.

The customer survey asks a series of general questions about the Apple Watch user experience, including built-in health features like stand reminders and activity rings. It also includes questions about third-party health features. The questionnaire, shared with 9to5Mac divided specifically asks users if they use third-party apps to manage health information and data. Some of the options include monitoring eating habits, tracking workouts, and monitoring blood sugar levels.

Apple Watch: Many indications support blood sugar monitoring

Apple has used surveys like this in the past to gauge interest in new features before they're introduced. In June 2020, for example, the company surveyed users in Brazil about the USB power adapters that once came with iPhones. The included adapters were later removed from iPhone boxes for environmental reasons. There are also a number of rumors suggesting that Apple is exploring adding glucose monitoring to the Apple Watch. An SEC filing from early May has already hinted at the addition of blood sugar monitoring. A report from January also suggested something similar. In addition, Apple has filed numerous patents that focus on non-invasive measures that could monitor a user's blood sugar levels. These patents date back years.
