The US blog 9to5mac has discovered a line of code that provides support for AliPay. According to this, users should be able to link AliPay with Apple Pay from iOS 14 onwards. AliPay is a platform for mobile and online payments and is known to belong to the Alibaba Group. The provider is said to have a customer base of over a billion users - insane. The majority of users are in mainland China. But Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and South Korea are also strongly represented on AliPay. According to AliPay, it is working with over 65 financial institutions. The service supports transactions via Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express and more.
