Apple today announced the winners of the third annual Apple Music Awards, recognizing the best artists of 2021 and their impact on global culture.
Apple announced the winners of the 2021 Apple Music Awards on Tuesday. Each year, the awards recognize the best artists whose songs have stood out throughout the year. The third Apple Music Award honors The Weeknd as Artist of the Year, while Olivia Rodrigo, HER, and Wizkid are also on the list. A new category, Regional Artist of the Year, was also introduced. The winners were announced ahead of a series of interviews and other original content that will be available on Apple Music and the Apple TV app starting December 7, 2021.

- Artist of the Year (Africa): Wizkid
- Artist of the Year (France): Aya Nakamura
- Artist of the Year (Germany): RIN
- Artist of the Year (Japan): OFFICIAL HIGE DANDISM
- Artist of the Year (Russia): Scriptonite
About the Apple Music Awards
Apple has designed a series of physical awards that represent the exceptional craftsmanship necessary to create music. Each award consists of a silicon wafer custom-built by Apple, sandwiched between a polished glass panel and a machined and anodized aluminum casing.
