Apple has announced a new line-up of MacBook Pro models with Intel's latest 8th and 9th generation Core processors and did not fail to mention the ultra-flat butterfly keyboard - this is said to have been significantly improved.

The new 15" MacBook Pro is said to be a real beast - it can be configured with a maximum of eight processor cores and is said to be the fastest of its kind. The large MacBook Pro model was updated twice in 2018, the first update coming shortly after WWDC 2018. The second update took place in November.

The new 15" model comes with a 9th generation Intel Core i7 or Core i9 processor and clocks at up to 5.0 GHz in Turbo Boost. Apple's latest 15" professional devices still have 220ppi, with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels. Thanks to the True Tone screen, excellent color reproduction should be guaranteed. In addition, the high-end models can be equipped with Radeon Pro 560X or Vega 20 graphics cards with up to 4 GB HBM2 memory. 16 or 32 GB RAM and 512 GB or 1, 2 or 4 TB SSD flash memory can be selected. The basic version of the MacBook Pro 15" is available for 2,799.00 euros and can cost up to 7,779.00 euros. It can be pre-ordered now in the Apple Online Store - deliveries will start on May 29th.

The equipment of the 13" model is also impressive. It leaves the factory with an 8th generation Intel Core i5 or Core i7 and clocks at up to 4.7 GHz in Turbo Boost. The graphics card comes from Intel - an Iris Plus 655 Graphics. If you need more flash memory, you can give the MacBook Pro 13" with Touch Bar up to 2 TB. As with the 15" model, the little brother will also be True Tone-capable. The price of the new model starts at 1,999.00 euros and can cost up to 4,099.00 euros depending on the configuration. The small MacBook Pro with Touch Bar can also be pre-ordered now in the Apple Online Store - delivery also starts on May 29th.

4th generation butterfly keyboard

Both models have four Thunderbolt 3 ports. The 13" device can support up to two 4K displays or one 5K screen, while the 15" MacBook Pro supports two 5K monitors. Both devices also have the well-known T2 chip, the same Touch Bar and the same Touch ID authentication as their predecessors. Of course, there is also something to say about the butterfly keyboard. According to Apple, the new generation of the butterfly keyboard has of course been revised. The improved design should now ensure significantly fewer failures than with the previous models. It remains to be seen whether Apple has succeeded in improving it.
