If you use Apple Arcade or are considering giving the subscription a try, you should mark June on your calendar. Five new games will be released on June 5th, including a new version of UNO and the award-winning WHAT THE CAR?, now optimized for Apple Vision Pro. In addition to the new releases, there are also numerous updates to existing games. Apple Arcade continues to expand its offerings—ad-free, with no in-app purchases, and with cross-platform support.

Apple Arcade is a game subscription service that runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and the Apple Vision Pro. For €6.99 a month, you get access to over 200 games, with no ads and no additional purchases. Games can be shared with up to six people using Family Sharing. When you buy a new Apple device, you get three months free. Apple Arcade is also included in Apple One bundles—for example, the "Individual" bundle for €19.95 or the "Premium" bundle with other Apple services.

These five new games are coming on June 5

UNO: Arcade Edition

UNO is one of the most popular card games in the world. The new version for Apple Arcade brings the classic gameplay into a fresh format. There are three game modes: Quick Match, Custom Games, and Single Player. Custom mode offers new variants like "Wild Swap Hands" and "Color Showdown." The game's visuals are colorful, with unlockable frames, emotes, and special effects. You can play solo or with friends, locally or online. The game was developed by Mattel163.

WHAT THE CAR? for Apple Vision Pro

This game was specially remastered for the Apple Vision Pro. You control an absurdly constructed car that sometimes has legs, sometimes wings, sometimes a cold – depending on the level. It's controlled via a virtual steering wheel that you operate with your hands. It's a highly physical game that utilizes the Vision Pro's spatial computing capabilities. It was developed by the studio Triband and originally conceived as a humorous racing game.

LEGO Hill Climb Adventures+

Here, LEGO visuals meet the familiar gameplay of Hill Climb Racing. You drive through LEGO worlds, collect bricks, unlock new minifigures, and upgrade vehicles with gadgets. There are diverse environments, such as mountains, sunny landscapes, or the so-called Great Down. Physics plays a central role, just like in the original. Publisher: Fingersoft.

Lost in Play+

Lost in Play+ is a point-and-click game with no language, using animations and icons. You accompany two siblings on their journey through a fantasy world filled with goblins, magical creatures, and surreal environments. The game combines puzzles, mini-games, and a cartoon-inspired visual style. It won the 2023 App Store Award for iPad Game of the Year and is developed by Happy Juice Games and Snapbreak Games.

Helix Jump+

Voodoo's popular 3D arcade game has been remastered for Apple Arcade. You control a bouncing ball through rotating towers and must break through platforms without falling into the traps. The Apple Arcade version features improved haptics, new skins, effects, and—as always with a subscription—no ads. The development was handled by Orbital Knight.

These games are getting updates

In addition to the new releases, there are also many updates for existing games on Apple Arcade in June. An overview:

  • Crayola Create and Play+: Starting June 26, a seven-day Paddington summer event with interactive missions for families
  • Skate City: New York: From May 22nd, the borough of Queens will be unlocked, including 20 new free skate destinations
  • NBA 2K25 Arcade Edition: On May 8, Shaquille O'Neal will be added as a playable character in "Greatest Mode"

Other games receiving updates throughout the month include:

  • Hello Kitty Island Adventure
  • Shovel Knight Dig
  • Katamari Damacy Rolling LIVE
  • Angry Birds Reloaded
  • puffies.
  • Grindstone
  • Fruit Ninja Classic+
  • Space Invaders Infinity Gene Evolve

Apple Arcade in June: News, updates and clear advantages

In June, Apple Arcade once again demonstrates what the service can do. New games like WHAT THE CAR? and UNO: Arcade Edition add variety, and updates keep older titles fresh. The integration with Apple Vision Pro, which explores new control concepts, is particularly interesting. For €6.99 a month, you get an ad-free, high-quality collection of games—and if you have a new Apple device, you can try everything free for three months. If you game regularly and want to avoid ads and microtransactions, Apple Arcade is a stable option.
