Apple's 5G modem: What to expect in the near future

However, it is notable that Apple plans not to use the modem in its flagship models such as the Pro iPhones at first. This suggests that Apple wants to test the modem in less prominent devices first before integrating it into the broader product range.

Other areas of application

While the 5G modem is not currently used in top models such as the iPhone 17 Pro, it seems to be particularly suitable for devices where energy efficiency is more important than pure performance.
