Several rumors suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will undergo a number of design changes. To show what we might see, Ian Zelbo has created a series of renders on behalf of 9to5Mac.
With the iPhone 15 lineup, all iPhone 15 models will get a USB-C port instead of the Lightning port. The renderings (via 9to5Mac) says the connector won't change much. However, the speaker holes on the bottom might change.
The iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to have slightly thinner bezels than the iPhone 14 Pro models, and there will be a slight change in the curvature of the edges. The frame is slightly more curved and the glass blends into the edges - a subtle but noticeable change. Zelbo's renders suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro's camera bump will be thicker than that of the iPhone 14 Pro, and that the lenses will be thicker too.
iPhone 15 Pro (Max): The design changes will refine the look of the devices
The layout is largely the same and it's worth noting that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will likely have a unique periscope lens that won't be available on the other iPhone 15 models.
Since there are rumors that the iPhone 15 Pro models will feature solid-state buttons instead of physical ones for the volume and power buttons, we can expect some design changes. The renders don't appear to show the final buttons, as they are based on "early CAD drawings" likely from Apple's suppliers. Overall, the iPhone 15 Pro models will be similar to the iPhone 14 Pro models. However, there will be some notable design changes that will refine the look of the devices.
