The rumor mill surrounding the iPhone 15 has already raised many expectations in advance, including the introduction of haptic volume buttons. Bloomberg writer Mark Gurman has now stated that the iPhone 16 Pro will come with haptic buttons while the iPhone 15 Pro will retain the standard design with traditional volume buttons.
Although haptic volume buttons were already expected for the iPhone 15 Pro, Apple has been hesitant to introduce this feature due to costs and technical issues. However, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has reportedthat Apple will introduce the feature on the iPhone 16 Pro next year. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also confirmed that Apple will hold off on the solid-state buttons until the launch of the iPhone 16 Pro. The solid-state buttons were originally intended to change the design of the volume controls and use a single button instead of two buttons.

However, there will be one notable change: the introduction of a mute button instead of a mute toggle.
