Bloomberg's Mark Gurman provides hints about upcoming changes in the Mac product line that have Apple fans and tech enthusiasts alike excited. According to Gurman's Twitter post Apple will begin accepting trade-ins for three new Mac models starting June 5: the Mac Studio, the 13" M2 MacBook Air, and the 13" M2 MacBook Pro. This announcement suggests that new Mac hardware could be presented at the WWDC keynote. In particular, a new 15-inch MacBook Air model is expected.
WWDC speculation: Which new Mac models can we expect?
Although Apple has already introduced the Mac Studio with the M1 Max and M1 Ultra chips, no updates for this model have been announced yet. Gurman believes that Apple is working on two new Mac Studio models, but he has no information on their release date. It is suspected that Apple may delay the update of the Mac Studio until the M3 generation so as not to affect the Apple Silicon Mac Pro. Nevertheless, updated Mac Studio models with M2 Max and M2 Ultra chip options are not ruled out at WWDC. In addition, there are rumors of 13-inch MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models with the M3 chip, but the first M3 Macs will probably not be available until the end of the year.
