In recent weeks, we have been spoiled by the rumor mill - from realistic to absurd. But now there is a serious prediction regarding the AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro 2.
The well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has spoken out again and broken down Apple's AirPods plans. According to him, the AirPods 3 are to be the direct successors to the AirPods 2. However, there will be no external changes. The update focuses on the internal design. This means that the AirPods 3 will be similar to the AirPods Pro rely on a system-in-package design and thus replace the rigid-flexible PCB+SMT design. It is currently not known whether there will be any significant innovations. However, the release date will be exciting. According to Kuo, the AirPods 3 will go into mass production in the first half of 2021. This contradicts a statement by Jon Prosser, who believes that Apple will announce a new generation of AirPods in May this year.
