Reports about the new MacBook Pro 2021 series have been with us for many months. But when will the devices finally be released?

As reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo explained a few weeks ago, the new MacBook Pro is expected to go into production in the third quarter, which means an announcement can be expected between September and November. Mark Gurman has now confirmed this in his “Power On” newsletter today. confirmed. In his newsletter, Gurman explains that "these new MacBooks were supposed to come out sooner, but complications surrounding the new miniLED display have delayed production." The miniLED display, which Apple calls Liquid Retina XDR, is already available in the new 12.9-inch M1 iPad Pro. This panel uses 10,000 mini-LEDs that provide much better control over local backlighting, allowing for higher brightness and deeper blacks. The combination increases the contrast ratio and uses less power. According to the company, the Liquid Retina XDR display delivers "lifelike" details with a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.

MacBook Pro 2021: How much RAM will the device offer?

It also offers 1000 nits of brightness in full screen mode and 1600 nits of peak brightness. Although the new MacBook Pro is expected to come with the M1X chip and more slots, Gurman doesn't talk about that in his newsletter today. Instead, he gives a tip on choosing between the MacBook Pro and the MacBook Air. The MacBook Pro is for those who need more power and RAM for app development, Photoshop, and more complex video editing while the MacBook Air is ideal for web browsing, email, and basic photo editing. Just recently, it was claimed that the new MacBook Pro will be configurable with up to 64GB of RAM. Interestingly, the Bloomberg report was contradicted. So claimed Youtuber Luke Miami said that the devices could be limited to a maximum of 32 GB of RAM. It remains to be seen who will be right in the end. (Photo by insidestudio / Bigstockphoto)
