Shortly before the presentation of the next iPhone generation, rumors are increasing about next year's product range. Today's report covers two top rumors - Touch ID 2.0 and iPhone SE 2.

The news channel Bloomberg recently published a new report about the iPhone 2020. According to it, Apple is actually planning to introduce a fingerprint sensor under the display in planning. However, there is no intention to replace Face ID. This means that the next iPhone could appear with two biometric recognition technologies - this would make it much easier for the user to unlock the device in some situations. A number of working prototypes are said to already exist. However, it is currently unclear whether the technology can go into mass production on time by autumn 2020 - if this is not the case, the iPhone with Face and Touch ID would not appear until 2021. Bloomberg's information coincides with an earlier statement by the well-known star analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. He gave similar details and time frames.

iPhone SE successor and iPhone 11 expectations

In the course of the publication, Bloomberg also discussed a potential successor to the iPhone SE. The news channel claims to have learned that a new entry-level iPhone is actually planned for 2020. This confirms yesterday's Nikkei report.

According to reports, the device will appear in a design similar to the iPhone 8 and will have the well-known Touch ID sensor - Face ID will therefore remain reserved for the high-end series. A revised facial recognition and a comprehensive camera update are expected for this year's iPhone series. The Face ID module in the iPhone 11 will be able to capture more angles, while the new camera will have a third lens.
