A few hours ago, a document published which is supposed to reveal the model names of the next iPhone generation. Now there are further clues about the specifications and features.

The well-known site Slashleaks published a post today from July 30th, which can be found on the Chinese question and answer site Zhihu. In it, an anonymous user claims to be a Foxconn employee and to know the upcoming iPhone generation. Many of the details listed have already been discussed several times in rumors in the past. Nevertheless, the whole thing should be taken with a grain of salt - the authenticity of the information has not yet been confirmed. Based on the design, the alleged Foxconn employee claims that at least one of the new iPhone 11 models will be available in a completely new color - namely dark green. This would support an earlier report by the Japanese Apple blog Macotakara, according to which the iPhone XR successor will be available in a green and lavender version.

"Matte back without branding"

The back of the three models is said to have a matte look to conceal the new square-shaped camera module. This statement underlines a report by star analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, according to which the glass casing is said to have a matte appearance. The anonymous user also claims that Apple will do without the "iPhone" branding on the back of the devices this year. He could not give a reason for this step - and this is also the first time we have heard of it.

As expected, the front is supposed to be the same as the 2018 series - the notch also remains unchanged. Furthermore, 3D Touch is to be completely eliminated and the premium line will gain a third lens - points that have already been claimed several times in the past by various sources. According to the alleged Foxconn employee, the battery capacity of the 6.5-inch model will be around 3,969 mAh. Something was also noted about the storage capacities. There will be models with 64 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB. It is unclear whether the successor to the iPhone XR will also be one of them. No one has yet been able to verify whether the information is actually real. What we know so far about the upcoming iPhone generation can be found in our Summary read it.
