Apple is known for unveiling not only new technology but also new colors every year. The iPhone 17 Air, expected in fall 2025, is said to feature a color never before seen in iPhone history. A leaker from China reports a striking, very bright blue surface. What's behind the rumor?

According to current information, the iPhone 17 Air will feature a new main color. Unlike previous models, Apple is reportedly opting for a bright blue that is significantly different from previous shades of blue. This color will not only be new but also a central part of the marketing.

A new main color: very light blue

According to well-known leaker Fixed Focus Digital, the iPhone 17 Air will appear in a unique blue. The shade is said to be so bright that it could easily be mistaken for white in low light. At the same time, it should be clearly different from any previous shade of blue Apple has used.

  • By comparison, Apple first introduced "Sierra Blue" on the iPhone 13 Pro – a cool, metallic color that appeared light blue, sometimes almost gray, depending on the light. Later, even paler pastel colors were tried on the iPhone 15 models, especially in the glass and aluminum versions. The new color of the iPhone 17 Air is intended to stand out again – brighter, almost radiant, but still distinctly blue.

Rumor source: How credible is Fixed Focus Digital?

Fixed Focus Digital is a leaker from the Chinese network Weibo who has frequently published advance information about Apple products. His record is mixed: Some predictions were accurate, such as the correct forecast that the fourth-generation iPhone SE would be released as the iPhone 16e. He also correctly predicted the gold-titanium version of the iPhone 16 Pro. However, not all of his leaks were accurate. Therefore, the information is unconfirmed, but it comes from a source who has correctly predicted relevant details in the past.

Design in the focus of marketing

According to the leak, the new color won't just be an additional option. Rather, it will be the main color of the iPhone 17 Air—comparable to the (PRODUCT) RED or Midnight Green of past models, which were both heavily featured in marketing. Apple seems to be deliberately opting for a new look that stands out and clearly distinguishes itself from other models.

Launch of the iPhone 17 Air

The iPhone 17 Air is expected to be unveiled this fall alongside the other new iPhones. An exact date hasn't been set yet, but Apple's annual event traditionally takes place in September. More details about the features, technology, and, of course, the color palette are likely to be revealed by then.

iPhone 17 Air: More than just a new blue?

The iPhone 17 Air will likely take a new direction in color design. A very light shade of blue, almost white, is set to be the main color, according to a credible leak. This would once again demonstrate how strongly design and color choices are part of Apple's brand strategy. While this hasn't been officially confirmed yet, the evidence is mounting. If you're looking for an iPhone that stands out visually from previous models, the iPhone 17 Air could be just the right thing for you. It remains to be seen whether the rumor is confirmed—and whether Apple is actually setting a new color trend. (Image: MajinBuOfficial / X)
