Apple will most likely hold an event next month. At least the iPhone 13 series and Apple Watch Series 7 are expected to be unveiled. But there is more to come.
We have already documented enough rumors about various product announcements this fall. Now, in his “Power On” newsletter, Mark Gurman has spoken about the September event expressed. According to his sources, of course, the next generation of iPhones will be unveiled, as expected. Although it is a classic S-line, Cupertino will most likely promote the devices as the iPhone 13 series. Accordingly, he does not believe that it will be the so-called iPhone 12S lineup, as some have already suggested. In addition, he reiterated previous rumors that the devices will have the same screen sizes but with a smaller notch at the top of the display. New camera features, displays with 120Hz refresh rate and an A15 chip are also expected.
Apple Watch Series 7 is also expected to be released in September
In addition to new iPhone models, Cupertino also introduce the Apple Watch Series 7. Gurman expects a small redesign. He claims that the new smartwatch will appear with a flatter display and updated screen technology. The processor should also have significantly more power.
AirPods 3
But that's not all. According to Gurman, more products will be unveiled. He also believes that the AirPods 3 will be introduced as part of this. Rumors suggest that the third generation AirPods will have a similar design to the current AirPods Pro. Despite the revised casing, however, features such as active noise cancellation are not to be expected. The audio quality is said to be better than the second generation, however.
Apple Event in September: iPad mini 6 and iPad 9 expected
According to Gurman, however, new iPad models are also planned. While Apple already updated the iPad Pro in April, the iPad mini 6 and iPad 9 are set to be released next. The iPad mini 6 is set to be this year's star, as the small tablet will have a brand new design. The device will be similar to the iPad Air 4 and iPad Pro. In addition, it will reportedly use the A15 chip, have USB-C and the magnetic Smart Connector.
New MacBook Pro models with Apple Silicon
Of course, Gurman also addressed the topic of the MacBook Pro. He repeated his previous statements that the new MacBook Pro will be available in 14- and 16-inch sizes.
