The new iPhone is coming! Time for a few last minute leaks – right? In exactly one week, Apple will most likely present three new iPhone models. Now a benchmark of the iPhone XR successor has allegedly surfaced.

In addition to numerous rumors about the features and design of the new iPhone generation, it is now the turn of the A13 chip. An alleged benchmark of the iPhone 11 was published on Geekbench. The test device is called the iPhone 12.1 and is said to have 4 GB of RAM - one GB more than the iPhone XR. The ARM processor is said to have six cores and clock at 2.66 GHz - it is said to be the expected A13 chip. According to the benchmark, the single-core value is 5415 and the multi-core value is around 11294. If the values are correct, the new iPhone 11 would be about 12 percent faster in single-core  – however, the multi-core value would remain unchanged.

Further efficiency improvements realistic

Since the model name and the motherboard name “N104AP” match previous reports from 9to5mac and Bloomberg, it can be assumed that this is a genuine result – however, the authenticity cannot be confirmed with absolute certainty.

Apple's A-series chips remain the industry leader - it is also expected that the new generation has received further efficiency improvements, which will benefit the battery life of the new devices. Apple will present the new iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro series on September 10th in the Steve Jobs Theater - in addition to new iPhone models, the fifth generation of the Apple Watch is also expected. Apple devices here are not test units on loan for two weeks but everyday tools: from the iPhone through MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
