Taiwan's flexible circuit board makers Zhen Ding Technology and Flexium Interconnect have reportedly entered the supply chain of Apple's upcoming mini-LED-backlit iPad Pro and MacBook ranges. They will compete with South Korean producer Young Poong Electronics.

DigiTimes contradicts a leaker who said that Cupertino wants to present the new professional tablet with miniLEDs in the second quarter of 2021. But DigiTimes' statement is in line with earlier reports by Ming-Chi Kuo. Since Apple usually holds a March event (due to the Corona crisis, nothing came of it this year), the suspicion is at least reasonable. Kuo has already announced six devices with miniLEDs.
