Creating bullet points, numbered lists or various headings is also possible in many applications. It therefore seems only logical that Apple would also integrate these functions into iMessage. But the rumor about iOS 18 does not speak directly of rich text but of "text effects". This leaves room for speculation.
Text Animations: A Look into the Future
The ability to animate individual words would be a completely new feature and could fundamentally change the way we perceive and send messages. The idea that Apple is planning some form of rich text support for Messages in iOS 18 is extremely exciting. The basic features like bold, italics, and underline are likely just the beginning. The ability to animate, highlight, or otherwise emphasize individual words sounds like a lot of fun and could make communication on iPhones more interesting.
