There is exciting news for Apple fans: According to renowned Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, Apple is currently experimenting with larger iMac models, including an impressive 32-inch display. Since these devices are still in the early stages of development, a release is not likely until late 2024 at the earliest, or possibly even as late as 2025.

Apple's iMac line has long had a loyal following due to its sleek all-in-one designs and powerful features. To meet the growing needs of users, Apple now seems to be going a step further and is planning an iMac with a larger 32-inch display. This information originate from the reliable sources of Mark Gurman, who in the past has often provided accurate information about Apple's upcoming products. So far, Gurman reportedthat Apple is working on an iMac with a 30-inch screen. However, he has now clarified that the display will likely be the same size as Apple's highly acclaimed Pro Display XDR - namely 32 inches.

A big step for the iMac: Is the 32-inch display coming soon?

Introduced in December 2019, the Pro Display XDR offers impressive 6K resolution for crisp and detailed Retina-quality content. However, it should be noted that the Pro Display XDR comes with a hefty price tag of $5,499. The launch of a larger iMac model would be a significant development for Apple, especially since the company has discontinued the Intel-based 27-inch iMac and iMac Pro in recent years. Consumers are eagerly awaiting an iMac with a larger screen and the powerful Apple silicon chip as a replacement. Currently, Apple offers the 27-inch Studio Display, which can be connected to the Mac Studio or other Apple silicon Macs. However, it is important to note that this is not an all-in-one solution like the iMac. Currently, the 24-inch iMac is the only all-in-one model offered by Apple.

More space to work

The current model with the M1 chip was launched in April 2021, and rumors suggest an updated model with a faster M3 chip is expected early next year. Apple has been shifting heavily to its own silicon chips, manufactured using TSMC's 5nm process, in recent years. The M3 chip is expected to move to the advanced 3nm process, which could mean a significant increase in performance and power efficiency. Overall, the possibility of a larger iMac with an impressive 32-inch display is an exciting development for Apple fans. While we still have some time to wait for the release, we can be sure that Apple is working hard to meet consumer expectations and equip the iMac with even more impressive features and performance upgrades. It remains to be seen how the market evolves and whether the larger iMac will actually meet the high expectations. (Photo by HannaKuprevich / Bigstockphoto)
