Apple's interest in augmented reality is probably known to every fan. The work on corresponding accessories has also been no secret for a long time.

Rumors about a AR glasses and a headset from Apple are certainly not new and thanks to iOS 13 we have evidence that at least one such product actually exists. But when exactly will the new iPhone accessories be released? For a long time there was a clear answer to this question - 2020. But at the end of last year The Information shed a lot more light on the matter. According to the report, the launch of the first product is planned for 2022, while the second model is to follow in 2023. To date, no one has Info The platform has now confirmed its presence. Now the Taiwanese news site DigiTimes has provided a report that deals with exactly this topic. In the preview of the paid article is it [called:

Apple AR glasses in development – Taiwan-based optical component suppliers are involved in the development of Apple’s augmented reality smart glasses, which could be launched by 2022, according to industry sources.

While we now have two sources predicting 2022, Bloomberg previously suggested 2021. Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has not yet provided any new information on the subject. His forecast originally predicted 2020.

First, the Apple Headset appears

Even back then, The Information explained that the headset would appear before the actual glasses. The AR accessory is somewhat reminiscent of Facebook's Oculus Quest, with the difference that Apple's version has a slimmer design. The anonymous source explained at the time that the headset has a "high-resolution display" to enable reading of small letters. At the same time, people can be shown in front of and behind virtual objects. Accordingly, Apple's technology seems to be much more advanced than that of the competition. Whether this will happen, of course, remains to be seen. If you would like to read our report on this topic at the time, you can find the article here. (Photo by giggsy25 / Bigstockphoto)
