Rumors about new Mac devices have been circulating for some time. Now there are reports that at least four new Mac products will be released this year, all of which will feature the brand new M2 chip.

In today’s Power On Newsletter, Mark Gurman affirmedthat Apple on Tuesday, March 8th, a virtual event to unveil new iPhone SE and iPad Air models, both of which are expected to feature an A15 chip and 5G support. In addition, Gurman claims that Apple plans to unveil at least one new Mac in the spring. Whether the device will be unveiled at the event remains to be seen, however. This new Mac could be a high-end Mac mini powered by the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, as a replacement for the 27-inch iMac is not expected to arrive until August.

Macs with M2 chip will be released later this year

According to Gurman, Apple has at least four new Macs with M2 chips in the pipeline, including updated models of the MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, 24-inch iMac, and entry-level Mac mini. It's likely that these Macs will be unveiled later this year, after Apple unveils the last Macs with M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. Gurman also believes that Apple will remove the Touch Bar from the new entry-level MacBook Pro. However, he believes the device will come without a ProMotion display.
