In 2024, Apple is reportedly planning to launch a revolutionary OLED iPad Pro that could shake up the world of tablet technology. This article takes a look at the latest rumors and predictions regarding this exciting new product. We'll also look at how Apple is responding to challenges in the tablet market and how this could affect future models.

There has been speculation about an iPad with an OLED display over the past few years, and now it seems as if this long-awaited innovation could actually become a reality. According to Report According to Omdia, Apple is expected to introduce an OLED iPad Pro in 2024, available in 11-inch and 12.9-inch sizes. This would be the first time Apple has used OLED technology in its iPads and could transform the high-end tablet market.

OLED displays: A new era for Apple's iPad series

OLED iPad Pro rumors have gained momentum after Apple's iPad sales fell 36 percent year-on-year. A report from Omdia says the OLED iPad is expected in 2024 and could be a much-needed refresh to the iPad lineup. The screens for the OLED tablet will be supplied by LG Display and Samsung Display, two key partners in Apple's supply chain. The projections suggest that Apple could order an impressive 10 million OLED iPad screens in 2024, with LG Display supplying 6 million units of the two display sizes while Samsung Display could manufacture 4 million 11-inch versions.

More models in sight: OLED for iPad mini and iPad Air

Interestingly, the introduction of OLED displays is not limited to the iPad Pro. The iPad mini and iPad Air are also expected to feature this technology from 2026. This could mean that Apple will offer its customers an even wider choice of OLED tablets in the future. The reports of the 2024 OLED iPad Pro have been confirmed by various sources, including DigiTimes. The tablet is expected to not only offer an impressive display but also introduce a new 4TB capacity option. As recently as July, there was speculation about the type of OLED display that would be included in the iPad Pro, with a hybrid OLED design based on LTPO-TFT technology.

Outlook on the future of Apple's iPad Pro

The rumors and predictions regarding the 2024 OLED iPad Pro are extremely promising and could help strengthen Apple's position in the highly competitive tablet market. With a high-quality OLED display and possibly new storage options, this iPad Pro could exceed consumer expectations. Apple seems ready to respond to changing market demands and offer innovative products. It remains to be seen how these developments will affect the tablet market and the competitive landscape as a whole. (Image: Apple)
