We first read reports that Apple is planning its well-known spring event on March 16 in the fall of 2020. Now Bloomberg journalist and Apple leaker Mark Gurman has spoken out.

In recent weeks, March 16th has been mentioned repeatedly as the date for a possible Apple event. Many of us were already very skeptical about the prospects of a March event, both because of the sources and because of all the rumors about new products. For this reason, I recently saved myself an article about it. Now Bloomberg journalist and Apple leaker Mark Gurman has spoken out on Twitter reported stating that Apple will not be holding an event on March 16. We've all been wondering for some time now if Apple will be holding a March event, due to the sheer number of products rumored to be released in the first half of 2021.

Apple Event in March: What's wrong with press releases?

Reports of new iPad Pros, new AirPods and new products like AirTags have been circulating for months. In addition, YouTuber Jon Prosser was one of the first to suggest an event on March 16. But when it comes to rumors about Apple, there is only one really reliable source you can rely on - Mark Gurman. As far as he knows, neither an event nor the launch of the AirTags is planned for that day. However, he does not rule out product launches in March. Apple could theoretically hold a virtual keynote on a different day or resort to press releases. After all, the company tends to release a few minor product updates every March. (Image: Apple)

Apple devices here are not test units on loan for two weeks but everyday tools: from the iPhone through MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
