Apple officially introduced the Apple Watch Series 7 yesterday, but the product is not the one that various sources have been promising us for months. In addition, Apple has been very secretive about technical details. Now an internal document has surfaced that contains further details.
A newly surfaced internal Apple document (via 9to5mac) reveals more details about the Apple Watch Series 7, including weight, connectivity and internal components. The documentation, which is not intended for consumers, shows that the watch contains a new S7 system but retains the same CPU and speeds as the S6 chip in the Series 6. So what exactly does this mean? As already reported , developer Steven Troughton-Smith has discovered that the Apple Watch Series 7 has exactly the same CPU as the Apple Watch Series 6. The newly discovered document confirms this detail. Only the branding is different. Apple refers to the new SiP in the Series 7 as the S7 chip. While the CPU remains the same, it is likely that some other small components have been changed to accommodate the larger display.

Of course, the document also contains information about the weight of the Series 7, which is actually provided on Apple's website for all customers, which is not currently the case.
- The aluminum Apple Watch Series 7 weighs 32.0g/38.8g compared to the Series 6 at 30.5g/36.4g.
- The stainless steel versions weigh 42.3 g/51.5 g compared to the Series 6 at 39.7 g/47.1 g.
- The titanium models weigh 37.0 g/45.1 g compared to their predecessors at 34.6 g/41.3 g.

Furthermore, according to the documentation, the Series 7 features the same speaker as the Series 6. The new model also uses the same Bluetooth 5.0 components, the same U1 chip, the same 32 GB of storage, and the same international emergency calling functionality as the Series 6. At the end of the document, it is noted that all specifications are "subject to change without notice." But will that be the case? As of now: Based on current information, the only difference between the Series 7 and Series 6 appears to be that the new model has a slightly larger display.
