Apple could soon introduce new versions of the iPad Air and MacBook Air. According to a recent report from Bloomberg, stocks of these devices are dwindling in Apple stores worldwide, which indicates that successors will soon be available. A new iPhone SE 4 is also apparently about to be released. In recent years, Apple has often introduced new products when older models became scarce. A look at the current information shows what this means for the coming weeks and what hardware updates can be expected.

Apple has been pursuing a clear strategy for years: as soon as stocks of a product become scarce, a new generation is often ready to launch. This currently affects the iPad Air and the MacBook Air. At the same time, rumors are circulating about a new iPad 11 as a cheap entry-level model. Mark Gurman's report suggests that Apple is not planning any major events for these announcements and may only present the new models via its website and short videos.

Stocks of iPad Air and MacBook Air are decreasing

Bloomberg reportedthat the stocks of the iPad Air and MacBook Air in Apple stores around the world are noticeably decreasing. This is often a sign that Apple is preparing a new generation of these devices. There have been rumors about an updated MacBook Air and a new iPad Air for some time now. It is still unclear exactly what new features we can expect. Apple will probably focus primarily on more powerful hardware. No major changes to the design are expected.

M4 chip for more performance

An important point with the new devices could be the switch to the M4 chip. So far, the current MacBook Air models have used the M3 processor. With the introduction of the M4, Apple could further increase the performance and efficiency of the devices. The iPad Air is also likely to be equipped with a new chip. Apart from the chip upgrade, no major innovations are known. So anyone hoping for a revised design or new features will probably be disappointed. The new hardware will probably focus on more performance and better energy efficiency.

New iPad 11 as entry-level model

In addition to the updates for the iPad Air, Apple is said to be working on a new iPad 11. This model will replace the current entry-level tablet. No major changes are expected, but it could be equipped with the A17 Pro chip - the same processor that is also in the iPad mini 7. An interesting new feature could be support for Apple Intelligence. If the A17 Pro chip is actually installed in the iPad 11, the device could offer some AI functions that were previously only available on the more expensive iPads.

presentation without a big event

In recent years, Apple has increasingly refrained from presenting smaller product updates at large events. Instead, the company relies on press releases and short introductory videos on its website. It looks like that will happen again this time. According to Bloomberg, Apple will probably not hold its own keynote for the iPhone SE 4 or the new iPads and MacBooks. Instead, the products could be added to the Apple Online Store without a major announcement, accompanied by short videos explaining the new features.

Wait or buy?

For anyone currently considering buying a new iPad or MacBook Air, it might be worth being patient a little longer. The evidence of new models is mounting, and with the introduction of the M4 chip, the next generation will be more powerful than the current models. Since the design is not expected to change, the price of the current models could drop slightly after the new generation is introduced. So if you don't need the latest technology, you could find a cheaper deal on the current MacBook Air or iPad Air after the announcement.

New Apple products are coming: iPad Air, MacBook Air and more

The dwindling stocks in Apple stores indicate that Apple will soon introduce new versions of the iPad Air and MacBook Air. The M4 chip is likely to be the biggest upgrade, while there are no major design changes. A new iPad 11 as a cheap entry-level model could also soon come onto the market. Anyone thinking about buying a new Apple device should wait for the upcoming announcements. It is quite possible that Apple will present the new models in the next few days or weeks without a big event. (Image: Apple)
