The second generation iPhone X and the "iPhone X Plus" with a 6.5" display are expected. Our personal favorite! A nearly edgeless LCD iPhone with a 6.1" is also expected to see the light of day. Compared to the X models, the LCD iPhone will probably be the product for the mass market, as it will be significantly cheaper.

Now the well-informed and well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has spoken out again. He claims to have learned from supply circles that Apple will be putting the premium devices on sale in September. The entry-level iPhone with 6.1" will not be available until October.

Dual-SIM & Pencil support

All three iPhones will be equipped with an A12 chip. One of the iPhones will have multi-SIM - however, this function will not be available internationally. The device will have a normal SIM slot and another eSIM. The latter will only be active in certain markets. An iPhone SE 2 was not mentioned in the report. Kuo also addressed the rumors that the 6.5" iPhone will have Apple Pencil support.

This should not be the case. The iGroup decided against this feature because a good user experience could not be guaranteed.

According to current rumors, the presentation of the new iPhones will most likely take place on September 12th.

Apple devices here are not test units on loan for two weeks but everyday tools: from the iPhone through MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
