Two days ago, the Xcode 11 beta was last updated for developers – now details about the new iPhone 11 lineup, the Apple Watch Series 5 and the new iPad 7 could be found.

How much RAM do the new iPhone 11 models have? This question has occupied a large part of the community in recent days – while some assumed 6 GB, others guessed 4 GB. An official document from the Chinese regulatory authority TENAA, which was discovered today, contains information about the battery and the RAM. According to it, all three iPhone 11 models are said to have 4 GB of RAM. But is that true? Yes! The well-known developer Steve Troughton-Smith was able to obtain precise details from the current Xcode 11 beta - he has now confirmed this via Twitter. The iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max actually have 4 GB of RAM. For comparison: The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max also have 4 GB of RAM while the iPhone XR only has 3 GB of RAM.

Apple Watch Series 5 processor revealed

During his extensive Xcode 11 investigation, Troughton-Smith was also able to reveal the processor of the brand new Apple Watch Series 5. According to this, the Series 5 is said to have the same core as the Series 4 - that means there will be no performance improvements here. The discovery is less surprising, as Apple did not provide any information about the processor of the Apple Watch Series 5 during the "By innovation only" presentation. The difference to the fourth generation of the popular smartwatch lies in the display, the storage space and the compass function. Accordingly, the Series 5 has an always-on display, 32 GB of storage and an integrated compass - read more here.

iPad 7

In addition to the iPhone and Apple Watch, the Xcode 11 beta revealed further details about the new entry-level iPad. According to the report, the new tablet will have 3 GB of RAM - its predecessor was only equipped with 2 GB of RAM. The new iPad 7 is the direct successor to the 9.7-inch model released in 2018. The new tablet has a 10.2-inch display and an A10 Fusion processor as well as a Smart Connector.

The device also supports the first generation Apple Pencil and has Touch ID. The casing is made of 100 percent recycled aluminum. The new iPad 7 starts at 379 euros and is available in silver, space gray and gold. It can be purchased with 32 GB or 128 GB. There is of course a WiFi and WiFi + Cellular version.
