The iPhone 15 was highly anticipated and touted as another masterpiece from Apple. But now, barely a year after its release, it looks like the iPhone 15 could become obsolete faster than any other iPhone model before it. Below, you'll learn why the iPhone 15 may not be the best choice for future iPhone users and what alternatives you should consider instead.

The launch of new iPhone models is always an exciting moment for tech lovers. Every year, Apple launches new innovations and improvements that put the latest technology right in our hands. But what if the latest model, in this case the iPhone 15, could be obsolete as early as next year? That's exactly what could happen if the rumors and reports about the upcoming iPhone 16 and iPhone SE 4 are true.

iPhone 15: An early end?

The iPhone 15 launched with a number of impressive features, including the popular Dynamic Island and an improved camera. But one key point could jeopardize its future: Apple Intelligence. Unveiled in June, this new, revolutionary AI technology is seen by many as the next big thing in the smartphone world. But surprisingly, this technology will not be available on the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. This means that the iPhone 15 will not support the biggest new features of iOS 18. This is especially problematic because the upcoming iPhone 16, due to be released as early as next month, will support this technology in all of its models, including the non-Pro versions.

iPhone SE 4: The real iPhone 15 killer?

In addition to the iPhone 16, there is another threat to the iPhone 15: the iPhone SE 4. Expected in early 2025, this model could become the perfect smartphone for budget-conscious buyers. The iPhone SE 4 is rumored to feature an A18 chip and Apple Intelligence - the same technology that powers the iPhone 16. Imagine being able to buy an iPhone SE 4 for around €500 that has the latest AI features while also offering a modern OLED display. In comparison, the iPhone 15 would launch for €949 with an older A16 chip and no Apple Intelligence. The decision seems clear: the iPhone SE 4 offers much more for your money.

Why the iPhone 15 is still worth considering

Of course, the iPhone 15 also has its strengths. The Dynamic Island is an innovative feature that the SE 4 probably won't have. The iPhone 15's camera could also be better than that of the SE 4. For some users, these factors could be decisive, especially if camera quality or special iPhone features play a big role.

iPhone 15: A top model on the sidelines?

The iPhone 15 faces a difficult future. With the upcoming release of the iPhone 16 and iPhone SE 4, it might be hard to justify the existence of the iPhone 15. If you're currently considering a new iPhone, you should definitely wait for the upcoming models. The iPhone SE 4 in particular could be a very attractive option for those looking for the latest technology at an affordable price. The iPhone 15 may have been a top model this year, but the future may belong to others. Are you looking for new accessories? Visit our Amazon Storefront! Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
