Apple released a brand new fourth-generation iPad Air in September presentedSales are scheduled to start in October – but it is not known exactly when.
The iPad Air 4 cannot yet be pre-ordered from Apple, and an official launch date is not yet known. But there are indications that the sales launch is imminent. According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, Apple has started sending promotional material to retailers. On Twitter explained Gurman:
Apple's marketing materials for the new iPad Air are already hitting retail stores, suggesting a launch sooner rather than later.
As Gurman notes, Apple has dated the release of the iPad Air 4 as "October" without providing further details. This suggests the device could launch anytime. However, given Apple's already released promotional materials, it's safe to assume the device will launch soon.
iPad Air 4: A top device in the mid-price segment
The iPad Air 4 has a brand new design and significantly more power. In the press release, Apple described it as follows:
