Another improvement comes to AirDrop, the popular wireless file-sharing feature. iOS 17 introduces new features, including the ability to exchange numbers using NameDrop and continue transfers even when you're away from the other device. However, this upgrade to AirDrop will also only be available "later this year" and will not be included in the iOS 17 beta. Apple Music is also getting an update with iOS 17: the long-awaited support for shared playlists. This feature allows friends to join a playlist, add, remove and reorder songs, and react to songs with emojis. Again, however, it says that support for shared playlists will not be available until "later this year."
