Apple wants to get more people to try out iOS 15 and Co. This is evident from an email to existing beta testers, in which they are encouraged to try out the public betas.

Apple is expected to release iOS 15, iPadOS 15, tvOS 15, watchOS 8 and macOS 12 Monterey worldwide sometime this fall with new hardware. While the major versions are currently being tested as beta by volunteer testers as well as registered developers, Apple seems to be dissatisfied with the number of testers. The company has sent an email to participants in the beta software program, urging those who have not yet downloaded the next operating system versions to do so. The email, which was obtained by 9to5Mac published explains that participants can "help shape Apple software by testing pre-release versions and letting us know what they think."

iOS 15 and Co. contain many new features

Major software updates that are used by millions of people must undergo rigorous testing before release. That's why Apple runs an extensive beta testing program. iOS 15 and Co. appear with a ton of great features. There are a number of new features for FaceTime, including SharePlay, video calls and web support for Android and Windows. There's the new Live Text feature in the Camera and Photos app, the new Focus mode, redesigned notifications, revamped Safari and much more. (Photo by nikkimeel / Bigstockphoto)

Apple devices here are not test units on loan for two weeks but everyday tools: from the iPhone through MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
