Apple officially released iOS 14.7.1 on July 26th. The update is intended to fix errors and close vulnerabilities. Now complaints about the so-called "No Network" bug are increasing.

With iOS 14.7.1, Apple has eliminated annoying bugs but also serious security holes fixed, which were actively exploited. But this update now also seems to be causing trouble. Some users report that they are confronted with the so-called "No Network" bug. This means that their iPhones report problems with network operators. According to the reports, restarting the device, removing the SIM card and resetting the network settings are not a solution. The "No Network" bug still occurs again and again, which is of course quite annoying. A look at Apple's forums for developer but also for the community shows that the problem has been present since the launch of iOS 14.7.1. One user writes:

After updating my iPhone 11 to iOS 14.7.1, I have no signal. Carrier not found. No service flashes on the top screen.

iOS 14.7.1 “No Service” Bug: Will Apple Release iOS 14.7.2 or Go Straight to iOS 14.8?

Users with an iPhone 6S, iPhone 7, iPhone 8 and iPhone 11 are reporting similar problems. Interestingly, Apple launched a support page a while ago provided, which is intended to address exactly such bugs. The company gives tips on how to solve the whole thing. Of course, affected users have followed the steps provided by Apple - but in vain. Many still have no network and are therefore not reachable by mobile. It is now suspected that the problem is related to iOS 14.7.1. Apple itself has not yet commented on this. However, the company is working on iOS 14.8, as can be seen from the Xcode source code. Accordingly, Cupertino could also provide a solution for this in the next update. However, it is not known when iOS 14.8 will be released. Alternatively, Apple could also release iOS 14.7.2 and fix the problem directly. Whether this will be the case remains to be seen. (Photo by Denys Prykhodov / Bigstockphoto)

Apple devices here are not test units on loan for two weeks but everyday tools: from the iPhone through MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
