Apple has announced today iOS 13.1, iPadOS as well as tvOS 13 Updates has published a new support document. This is aimed at all iPhone, iPad and iPod touch owners who use at least iOS 13 or later and iPadOS.
The newly published support document states the following:
“Third-party keyboard extensions in iOS can be designed to run completely standalone without access to external services, or they can request “full access” to provide additional functionality via network access.”
Apple has now discovered a bug in iOS 13 and iPadOS. This allows the keyboard extensions to grant full access, even if the user has not approved this permission. Apple notes that the problem has no effect on the integrated keyboard. A solution is already being worked on - the bug fix should appear in the next update. However, an exact date was not given.
Check access rights yourself
Of course, all users of such keyboard applications can check the access permissions themselves. To do this, open the iOS settings and navigate to "General."
