Apple launched a new beta series this evening. Among other things, the new feature "Announce Messages with Siri" was discovered.
The new "Announce Messages with Siri" feature was originally supposed to be released with iOS 13, but Apple had to leave it out for the time being. Now it's here. To use the feature, the user must have an iPhone and AirPods. When the AirPods are worn, incoming messages from Siri can be listened to and answered directly, without the "Hey Siri" command – very convenient. When a new message arrives, an alert similar to the normal message tone is played. Siri will then read the content aloud – "Friend X says..."!
How to activate the “Announce messages with Siri” feature
The new "Announce Messages with Siri" feature is disabled by default. If you'd like to use this handy feature, you can of course enable it – here's how: Open iOS Settings and navigate to "Siri & Search." Now you can enable "Announce Messages with Siri." This feature can also be further optimized.
Siri usually requires confirmation from the user before sending a message – however, this can be disabled. The “Messages with Siri Announce" is compatible with both Apple's own messaging app and third-party applications.
