Apple released a new supplemental update for macOS Mojave 10.14.6 last night to fix various issues that were slowing down the Mac.
The new supplementary macOS Mojave 10.14.6 update brings back Safari 14 in addition to bug fixes. The update was originally released last month. But Apple had to pull the version due to some bugs. As Mr. Macintosh reported, the Mojave 2020-005 security update released in September has caused some serious problems for Mac users. Users have reported that their computers have been constantly slowing down for no reason, along with other errors throughout the system. The Safari 14 update that macOS Mojave users received in advance caused Apple's browser to become unavailable for some users.
macOS Mojave requires Metal support
According to Apple, the current version should fix all errors caused by the security update Mojave 2020-005. Problems related to Safari 14 should also now be a thing of the past. The update can be downloaded and installed via the "Software Update" menu in the macOS system settings. Apple released macOS Mojave for all users on September 24, 2018. - MacBook Air since mid-2012
- MacBook Pro since mid-2012
- Mac mini since late 2012
- iMac since the end of 2012
- Mac Pro from 2013
- Mac Pro from 2010 and 2012 only with Metal-capable GPU
- iMac Pro
