The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has added nine iPad models to its regulatory database, which are most likely variants of the announced 11-inch iPad Pro and 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

Shortly before the start of pre-orders for Apple's latest 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro, nine variants were listed in a regulatory database. The model numbers A2377, A2378, A2567, A2588, A2602, A2568, A2569, A2589 and A2604 now appear in the records of the EEC It's unlikely that any of these model numbers are unannounced devices. Given the nature of the regulatory database, it's more likely that each individual model number represents a configuration of the announced iPad Pro. Curiously, however, the EEC database has divided the model numbers into two sections - with five variants in one, four in the other. It's likely that each section represents an overall model.

According to this, the whole thing should include the 11-inch and 12.9-inch models and the WiFi and WiFi+Cellular variants. In addition, of course, there are also the different storage capacities. However, it remains unclear why one model has fewer variants. None of the entries contain any details other than (in translation) "Apple tablet models" and a note that they run "iPadOS software version 14". All Apple devices must be listed in the EEC database before they can be released. It is unusual for them to be listed so close to a release and after their announcement. This process is usually carried out many weeks and sometimes even months beforehand. Also newly listed are Apple's long-discontinued AirPort Express models. Here too, it remains unclear why they were submitted to the EEC. But it could be related to a possible software update that could slightly change the radio frequency performance. (Image: Apple)
