ChatGPT is continuously being developed and regularly receives new features designed to simplify using the platform. OpenAI currently seems to be placing a particular emphasis on improving the user experience. A recent update makes it significantly easier to find important conversations in ChatGPT, addressing a common problem many users encounter in everyday life.

Users of ChatGPT frequently quickly accumulate a large number of conversations. Even though ChatGPT automatically recognizes content and categorizes conversations by topic, important chats often get lost in the chat history over time. Finding them again becomes increasingly difficult, especially with regularly used or long-term conversations. This is precisely where the new feature now available in ChatGPT comes in.

ChatGPT and the automatic tagging of conversations

ChatGPT has been able to automatically categorize conversations for some time now. Depending on the topic of the conversation, the system recognizes what a chat is about and categorizes it accordingly. This feature is generally helpful for orientation, but it's insufficient when many new chats are added.

Continuous use quickly leads to a long list of conversations. Even relevant or frequently used chats get pushed further and further down the list. This makes it difficult to keep track, especially if certain conversations need to be accessed regularly.

Pinned chats provide a better overview

With the latest update, OpenAI introduces pinned chats to ChatGPT. This feature allows you to mark selected conversations so that they are permanently displayed at the top of the chat history. This eliminates the need to scroll back through older conversations.

Pinned chats remain visible regardless of how many new conversations are started. This ensures that important conversations are always instantly accessible. While this change is technically minor, it noticeably improves the daily use of ChatGPT.

Improved user experience through small features

It is precisely these kinds of details that contribute to a better user experience in the long run. ChatGPT becomes more structured and user-friendly without fundamentally changing its core functionality. The ability to pin relevant chats ensures that content is no longer lost and can be efficiently reused.

With this feature, OpenAI demonstrates that it is not only focusing on new models, but also on practical improvements in the everyday lives of users.

Further recent developments at ChatGPT

In addition to pinned chats, OpenAI has recently released other new features. These include GPT-5.2 and the integration of Apple Music. These updates demonstrate that ChatGPT is continuously being developed and is growing both functionally and in terms of content.

Pinned chats improve organization in ChatGPT

With the introduction of pinned chats, ChatGPT takes a significant step towards greater clarity and better organization. Important conversations can be permanently highlighted and are always quickly accessible. Combined with other recent developments like GPT 5.2 and Apple Music integration, OpenAI underscores its commitment to making ChatGPT not only powerful but also practical and user-friendly.
