Apple is working on an iOS 16 update, specifically iOS 16.1.1, that fixes an issue related to its advertising framework SKAdNetwork, according to the company's System Status page.

Apple says the issue occurred on November 3rd, but has not provided any further details. On the system status page is called it:

There is an issue affecting SKAdNetwork for users of iOS 16.1. We are working to quickly resolve this issue with a software update.

SKAdNetwork allows advertisers to measure ad success by attributing app installs to specific ad campaigns – in other words, they can learn how successful an ad is in getting users to download an app from the app store.

iOS 16.1.1 could also fix a WiFi bug

iOS 16.1 was released two weeks ago along with SKAdNetwork 4.0, which gives advertisers more insight into performance, offers support for web ads and includes other improvements. References to iOS 16.1.1 were made to the US blog MacRumors according to, a few days ago. It is expected that iOS 16.1.1 will also fix a bug that causes frequent WiFi connection interruptions. As soon as the update is released, we will of course report on it as usual. (Photo by eamesBot / Bigstockphoto)

Apple devices here are not test units on loan for two weeks but everyday tools: from the iPhone through MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
