As is well known, Apple's focus when developing the iPhone 11 Pro series was on the camera and battery life. This was shown by a new battery life test - the opponents of the iPhone 11 Pro Max were the Huawei Mate 30 Pro and Galaxy Note 10+.

Youtuber Arun Maini pitted the three new iPhone 11 models against the Android flagships Huawei Mate 30 Pro and Galaxy Note 10+ - with a focus on battery life. The results speak for themselves - the iPhone 11 Pro Max clearly beat both competitors. The key data: The iPhone 11 has a 3,110 mAh battery (predecessor: iPhone XR - 2,942 mAh), the iPhone 11 Pro has a 3,046 mAh battery (predecessor: iPhone XS - 2,658 mAh) and the iPhone 11 Pro Max has a battery with a whopping 3,969 mAh battery capacity (predecessor: iPhone XS Max - 3,174 mAh). The two Android products also can't complain about a small battery, although the Huawei Mate 30 Pro has a 4,500 mAh battery - actually unbelievable. During the battery life test, everyday tasks were carried out with all devices - for example, Instagram and the camera were used, extensive games were played, music was streamed and much more.

iPhone 11 Pro Max – the efficient flagship from Cupertino

The iPhone 11 achieved a battery life of 5 hours and 2 minutes. The iPhone 11 Pro achieved a whopping 6 hours and 42 minutes in the test. This result was of course surprising, as the iPhone 11's battery is slightly larger - but there is already a possible explanation. The OLED screen of the iPhone 11 Pro could be more efficient than the LCD display of the iPhone 11. However, a software error cannot be ruled out. Of course, the reason could be something else - in any case, the surprising result cannot be explained with certainty. Under the same conditions, Samsung's Note 10+ was able to offer a full 6 hours and 31 minutes of battery life, while the Huawei Mate 30 Pro lasted an incredible 8 hours and 13 minutes. And what about the iPhone 11 Pro Max?

Although the 6.5-inch iPhone has a "significantly smaller" battery than the Huawei model, it managed to outperform its competitor by a full 18 minutes with a runtime of 8 hours and 32 minutes. There is a simple explanation for this. The interaction between software and hardware  - an area that Apple is much better at than its competitors.
