The Apple Watch Series 7 will be officially available from Friday, October 15th. Now that the embargo on reviews has been lifted, it has been announced that Apple will include a new charging puck with the watch.

The embargo for test reports has officially dropped. The consensus among reviewers seems to be that the Apple Watch Series 7 is indeed an evolution of last year's Series 6, but that the benefits of the larger display should not be ignored. Nevertheless, users of the last Apple Watches should not be forced to upgrade this year. Accordingly, the Series 7 may appeal more to users of older models.

New charger appears with USB-C port

Like the Italian YouTuber iMatteo found out The new charging puck on the Apple Watch Series 7 is made of aluminum instead of plastic. It also now has a USB-C port instead of a USB-A port - as previously reported. One of the new features on the Series 7 is the fact that it can be charged much faster. To achieve this, Apple had to replace the charging puck and use a new outer edge made of aluminum.

Apple Watch Series 7 charges 33 percent faster

According to Apple, the seventh generation of the smartwatch charges around 33 percent faster thanks to the new cable. This means that a battery capacity of 80 percent can be achieved within 45 minutes of charging. However, this requires at least a 20 watt power adapter in addition to the new charging puck. Now that Apple is officially accepting pre-orders, delivery of the new smartwatch is set to begin on Friday, October 15. Apple Watch models made of aluminum, stainless steel and titanium are available. Depending on the variant, the 7th generation of the popular smartwatch can cost between 429 euros and 1,859 euros.
