According to the description, users will be able to replace the tip of the Apple Pencil with a brush attachment. The patent, titled "Stylus with multiple inputs," also describes further embodiments in connection with an Apple Pencil attachment. The use of flexible contact elements at the tip allows for haptic feedback to be provided to the user – this feedback should also vary depending on the type of use. The simulation is supposed to be enabled by a sensor in the tip of the Apple Pencil attachment. The process is explained in very complex terms – the bottom line is that the iPad should be able to register the movements and differentiate them from one another – thus effectively controlling the flow of "color" in the image.
