As the leaker “Fudge” on Twitter reported, the company has developed a new tool called the "AirPods Firmware Updater," which, as the name suggests, forces a manual firmware update for AirPods devices—but only includes AirPods Pro. However, this tool isn't available to all users. According to Fudge, Apple developed the AirPods Firmware Updater exclusively for Apple technicians working in Apple Stores or authorized repair centers.

This allows technicians to restore and update the firmware if there are any issues with an AirPods Pro product to fix the problem without having to replace the product. There are no details on how this tool works or how exactly it connects to the AirPods. However, it does show that Apple can improve the AirPods firmware update process.
