As it does every year, Apple celebrates Earth Day with a series of financial and educational initiatives designed to shed light on environmental issues.
For Earth Day 2021, Apple is putting an emphasis on education. The company is offering new environmentally focused content across its various platforms that it hopes will serve as a catalyst for change and educate users on climate issues and other important topics. writes Lisa Jackson, Vice President of Environment, Policy and Social Initiatives at Apple:

The resources and community initiatives we're unveiling today are about amplifying voices that often go unheard and giving people the tools to learn, get involved, and be part of the solution.
As in past years, Apple Watch users can earn a special Earth Day award and stickers that can be used in Messages by completing a 30-minute workout on April 22.
Earth Day 2021: Apple TV App & Apple Books offer special content
Apple notes that the Guides feature in Maps has been updated with new curated content from the National Park Foundation, The Nature Conservancy, Red Tricycle, Culture Trip, FATMAP, and Lonely Planet. In the third installment of Apple's "Challenge for Change" learning series, the company is collaborating with social justice advocate Dolores Huerta on "Create a Better World Through Environmental Justice." Similar to previous "Challenge for Change" activities, the program features a video challenge and accompanying workbook that encourages students, teachers, and parents to connect on important issues. Today's installment focuses on creating sustainable environments in local neighborhoods and exploring ways to address community injustices. The Apple TV app and Apple Books offer special Earth Day collections, while Apple Podcasts has been updated with an "Earth Won't Wait" collection of content.
“Alba: A Wildlife Adventure”: Apple Arcade game linked to reforestation project
Apple Music customers can enjoy "Earth-inspired music" in the "Sounds of Nature" and "Mixtape for Mother Earth" playlists, while a "Restore Our Earth Through Music" section offers a "peaceful soundscape of the seven continents" with exclusive motion covers. The App Store is showcasing Earth Day-themed apps that focus on sustainable shopping, reducing food waste, and promoting consumer awareness among children. Finally, Apple Arcade features "Alba: A Wildlife Adventure," a game that tells the story of a young girl determined to save her island and its wildlife. With each download, Apple partner Ecologi plants a tree as part of a reforestation project in Madagascar. Apple also highlights ongoing educational efforts that focus on Black and brown communities, girls and young women, and youth activists. (Image: Apple)
