Mario Kart Tour debuted on September 25th of this year in the iOS App Store and Google PlayStore. But one important mode is still missing - the multiplayer mode.
Mario Kart has thrived on multiplayer mode since its launch in 1992. Fans know those evenings with the banana peel just before the finish line - and who was it? Of course, the mean boyfriend or girlfriend. The option to compete against friends is essential in Mario Kart and should make players much happier - Nintendo knows that too. Now the wait should soon be over. The Japanese game developer announced on Twitter that the beta phase for the multiplayer mode will start in December. However, the beta will not be available to all players. Anyone who wants to take part in this test must have an active Mario Kart Tour Gold Pass subscription. The tweet states:
"A real-time multiplayer beta test is planned for December and will be available to Mario Kart Tour Gold Pass subscribers."
It remains unknown when the mode will be available to all players. The Gold Pass subscription costs around €5.49 per month and gives users access to various gold gifts during a tour season. Paying customers also get access to the 200cc races. (Image: Nintendo)
