Youtuber Unbox Therapy has taken a look at the iPhone 14 Pro Max, claiming that it is a one-to-one replica created by third-party developers who have access to the detailed schematics and dimensions of Apple's new flagship smartphone.
Like the iPhone 13 Pro, we're expecting a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro and a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max this year. But this time, the Pro models are expected to have two display cutouts - one pill-shaped and one round - to accommodate the Face ID components and the front camera, respectively. Rumors suggest that slimmer bezels around the display will make room for these cutouts. Unbox Therapy's iPhone 14 Pro Max replica seems to reflect these changes, and it seems like there are some other, minor changes to the device as well. In this case, there are no antenna bands on the edges of the device and slightly larger buttons for the power button and volume control. The only new dimensions we haven't seen yet are the diameters of the individual lenses (16.17mm versus 15.51mm on the iPhone 13 Pro Max). According to renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the larger dimensions of the rear camera are due to the new 48-megapixel wide-angle camera systems. The 48-megapixel camera system is expected to be limited to the iPhone 14 Pro models and will enable 8K video recording, which is a significant upgrade over the 12-megapixel camera and 4K video recording of the iPhone 13 Pro.
